About me

Hi! I'm a documentary wedding photographer with over a decade of experience. I live in Burlington, VT with my wife of 6+ years, our two young children, a Siberian Husky, and a Goldfish!

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm usually outdoors with my family and friends. We love hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and playing in Lake Champlain.

In addition to my wedding work, I also shoot for newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Yankee Magazine, Seven Days, and many others. Head on over to oliverparini.com to see my editorial and commercial photography.

Approach to wedding photography

Weddings are filled with emotions. Months of planning culminate in a flurry of wonderful activity; a whirlwind of love and happiness for the couple, their families, and friends.

As a photographer, my goal is to capture the moments and details that tell the story of your wedding day. In wedding photography and marriage itself, the little things are the big things. From the table decorations to the loving sparkle in your partner's eyes... I aspire to make images that will recall these memories. Informed by my experience as a photojournalist for newspapers and magazines, I capture the moments and details that tell the story of your wedding day. I love letting the day unfold naturally and my goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable experience for my clients. My style is focused on candids and awesome portraits. My approach is quiet, friendly, and professional.

My most popular wedding photography package costs $2,800. This includes eight hours of photography coverage, high-resolution digital files that you can make prints with and post online, an online gallery of your images, and my travel within 100-miles of Burlington, VT. Add-ons include extra hours of wedding coverage, engagement sessions, rehearsal dinner coverage, a second photographer, and custom wedding albums or prints.

How do we book you as our photographer?

Let's talk! Give me call or shoot me an email to discuss your wedding plans. To officially reserve your date, I will eventually need a signed contract and non-refundable deposit from you.

Are you willing to travel?

Yes! I love to travel for weddings. I photograph weddings across Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, and beyond. My travel fees are less than you might think. Feel free to shoot me an email to discuss your options.

Do you edit the photos?

Yes! I make careful adjustments to each photo to optimize the color, brightness, contrast and composition.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot with professional camera bodies and lenses from Canon and I travel to every wedding with backup equipment! I'm a total gear nerd, so just let me know if you want specifics!

Do I have to order prints through you?

You can order prints through me, but you are welcome to print them yourself. All of my wedding photography packages come with high-resolution digital files.

How many images will we get?

There is no magic number that I'm shooting for! On average, you can expect to receive 50-75 images per hour of coverage. While a wedding may yield thousands of images, I will sort through all of them to remove the blinks, test shots, duplicates, etc.

How long does it take to get the photos?

Your images will be ready within 4-6 weeks from the date of your wedding.

Do you offer albums?

Yes! Albums are a fantastic way to display your wedding photos. My albums are carefully printed, custom bound and finished by hand in the US. True silver halide printing on Fuji portrait grade paper guarantees the best color reproduction and delivery of the finest details. The flush mount design and substrate mounted pages create stability and durability.
