About me

Hello! I'm Oliver.

I believe that the most beautiful and meaningful photographs are those that capture the emotions, connections, and candid moments that truly tell the unique story of each couple's love.

I have always been drawn to photography, and after working for the school newspaper and making prints in the darkroom at Colorado College, I decided to start my own business in 2010. Since then, I have had the privilege of photographing nearly 100 weddings and working with some of the top publications in the World, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Der Spiegel, Yankee Magazine, Seven Days, and many more.

I specialize in capturing the candid, spontaneous moments that often go unnoticed. From the teary-eyed glances during the ceremony to the joyous laughter during the reception, I strive to document the full experience of your wedding day in a natural, unobtrusive manner.

Outside of my work as a wedding photojournalist, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, our two little kids, and our Siberian Husky. We love to hike, fly fish, ski, and explore the beautiful state of Vermont!

I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day, and to be a part of such a meaningful moment in my clients' lives. Thank you for considering me as your wedding photographer. I can't wait to hear more about your plans. Please feel free to reach out and we’ll set up a time to connect!

Approach to wedding photography

Weddings are filled with emotions. Months of planning culminate in a flurry of wonderful activity; a whirlwind of love and happiness for the couple, their families, and friends. As a photographer, my goal is to tell the story of your wedding day. From the table decorations to the loving sparkle in your partner's eyes, I aspire to capture the moments that are filled with life, warmth, and feeling. Informed by my experience as a photojournalist for newspapers and magazines, my approach is to let the day unfold organically. I create a relaxed and comfortable experience for my clients by operating quietly in the background. My style is focused on candid moments and natural portraits.

FAQ

How do we book you as our photographer?

Let's talk! Give me call or shoot me an email to discuss your wedding plans. To officially reserve your date, I will eventually need a signed contract and non-refundable deposit from you.

Are you willing to travel?

Yes! I love to travel for weddings. I photograph weddings across Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Maine, Massachusetts, and beyond. My travel fees are less than you might think. Feel free to shoot me an email to discuss your options.

Do you edit the photos?

Yes! I make careful adjustments to each photo to optimize the color, brightness, contrast and composition.

What kind of gear do you use?

I shoot with professional camera bodies and lenses from Canon and I travel to every wedding with backup equipment! I'm a total gear nerd, so just let me know if you want specifics!

Do I have to order prints through you?

You can order prints through me, but you are welcome to print them yourself. All of my wedding photography packages come with high-resolution digital files.

How many images will we get?

There is no magic number that I'm shooting for! On average, you can expect to receive 50-75 images per hour of coverage. While a wedding may yield thousands of images, I will sort through all of them to remove the blinks, test shots, duplicates, etc.

How long does it take to get the photos?

Your images will be ready within 4-6 weeks from the date of your wedding.

Do you offer albums?

Yes! Albums are a fantastic way to display your wedding photos. My albums are carefully printed, custom bound and finished by hand in the US. True silver halide printing on Fuji portrait grade paper guarantees the best color reproduction and delivery of the finest details. The flush mount design and substrate mounted pages create stability and durability.
